q: Are you taking commissions?
A: I only accept painting commissions which can be purchased through the store. If I'm "sold out" that just means I'm booked up. Once I complete that batch of commissions, I'll open up more slots.
Q: HOW CAN I PURCHASE ONE OF YOUR CUSTOM ACTION FIGURES?
A: I rarely sell full custom figures. Everything I have for sale can be found in my store.
Q: what clays do you use for sculpting?
A: I use Aves Apoxie Sculpt for most of my sculpt work when I want a hard rigid finish. I use Procreate putty for things like hair and removable armor when I want a more flexible item.
Q: What tools do you use for sculpting?
A: I have a whole bunch of random sculpting tools but the two I use the most are my x-acto knife and a tool I made by gluing two needles into a paint brush handle. I also purchased a set of dentist/wax carving tools which work very nicely.
Q: What paints do you use?
A: I currently use Testors Model Masters, Vallejo and Tamiya Acrylics. I find Model Masters and Vallejo better for brush application as they don't dry as quickly and Tamiya works great for airbrushing. Both need to be thinned differently so be careful!
Q: How can i get stared customizing action figures?
A: It really depends on what you want to make but Here's a brief list of the few things I think are essential to start customizing.
Thankfully there's a butt-load of tutorials and videos on the net that will help get you started on the various processes.
- Dremel (nothing too fancy, a few grinding bits, sanding wheels, and spherical cutters should be enough to get your started)
- X-acto knife with plenty of extra blades
- Sculpting putty of your choice (Aves, milliput, green stuff, etc.)
- Some kind of sculpting tools or even needles or toothpicks will work
- Sandpaper of various grits
- High quality hobby paints (testors, tamiya, vallejo, etc,) the cheap stuff at Michael's won't cut it.
- Detail paint brushes
- Testors dull coat spray (absolutely necessary to protect your finish).
- High quality Super Glue (I use Zap-a-Gap). I find that Crazy-Glue or any other well known products don't work as well for these types of project

Q: what are you working on next?
A: Stay tuned to this site or check out the links below and follow me on Instagram to see WIP pics as well as other finished projects.
Q: can you make customs of real people?
A: That's not really something I'm interested in. I'm in this hobby for the awesome fictional characters, not for your cousin Richie who's in a mariachi band. Sorry.
